The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene launched Race to Justice as a multi-faceted, internal reform platform to advance health equity and social justice. Race to Justice is dedicated to improving health outcomes for all New Yorkers by:

• Building staff awareness of structural racism and other inequities that impact the Health Department’s decisions
• Advancing policies and practices that bridge the gap in health outcomes across the city
• Strengthening collaboration with New York City’s communities to counter racism and social injustice
